The Opportunity

Cue Gold Operations is seeking an experienced and motivated Superintendent Health & Safety to lead our site Health, Safety and Training function.

Reporting to the Manager Health & Safety, you will be responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, leading critical risk programs and supporting our leaders to achieve outstanding safety performance across underground and surface operations.

This is a key leadership position where your ability to influence, coach and engage operational teams will directly contribute to the success of the operation and the wellbeing of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the site Health, Safety and Training team.
  • Drive continuous improvement of health and safety systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and company requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations, risk assessments and corrective action programs.
  • Oversee training, competency and emergency response programs.
  • Facilitate critical control verification and risk management activities.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders, employees and contractors.
  • Deliver meaningful safety reporting, assurance activities and audits.

About You

You are a passionate safety leader with proven experience in the mining industry and a practical, hands-on approach to safety management.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Significant WHS experience in mining operations.
  • Previous experience in a senior site-based Health & Safety leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of mining legislation and risk management practices.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing operational performance.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Diploma in Work Health & Safety or equivalent qualification.
